Today's Focus Scriptures: Psalm 20:4 - 1 Peter 2:20-24 - Romans 8:26-28
Psalm 20:4
May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your counsel!
1 Peter 2:20-24
20 For what credit is there
if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if
when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds
favor with God.
21 For you have been called
for this purpose,
since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in
His steps,
22 who committed no sin, nor
was any deceit found in His mouth;
23 and while being reviled,
He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept
entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
24 and He Himself bore our
sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to
righteousness...
Romans 8:26-28
26 In the same way the
Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should,
but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
27 and He who searches the
hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the
saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that God
causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who
are called according to His purpose.
